There are 195 students that represent over 20 countries studying at AISV.
MissionThe school’s mission is to give students a safe educational setting where they can develop their academic and personal knowledge and understanding as well as a respect for diversity.
Facilities
The school campus is located in Vilnius on a hill overlooking the Neris River Valley. Facilities include 15 classrooms, a computer lab, a library with over 9,000 volumes, a gym, a soccer field and a playground.
Curriculum
AISV uses an American fusion curriculum that is similar to those used in the United States except modified for a large ELL and international student population. AISV has three sections: Pre-School, Elementary School and Upper School. The curriculum includes the usual specialist subjects like art, PE, French, music, computer literacy and Lithuanian in addition to the usual core subjects. High School students take a college preparatory curriculum that includes Advanced Placement courses. Students in Grade 11 and Grade 12 may take the SAT tests.
Extracurricular Activities
The school offers a range of activities that include girl scouts, boy scouts, computer club, music, arts and crafts, student council, soccer, cricket and more. Activities are sponsored by teachers, parents, and community members.
Technology
Computer classes are part of the regular curriculum. The computers in the classrooms and lab all have internet access.
Professional Development
No information is available on PD.
Employment
AISV is one of those schools with an absolutely terrible employment page. While job openings are listed on the school website, there is no other information about the employment process, salaries or benefits.
