Rome International School is an independent, co-educational day school that provides educational services for students from age 2 to 18. RIS was founded in 1988 and has grown steadily since then. Rome International School is an IB World School with authorization to use the PYP and the IB Diploma Programme. Over 500 students study at RIS. The school sounds like a great place to work, but, unfortunately, the school only hires citizens of EU countries.

The school campus is located in a residential area of Rome. facilities include 2 science labs, 2 computer labs, 2 libraries, 2 music rooms, 2 art rooms, a gym, an art room, a special needs room and an English as an Additional Language room.
Curriculum
RIS uses the PYP for younger students from Kindergarten through Grade 6 and the IB Diploma Programme for students in Grade 11 and Grade 12. Middle School Students use an international program based on the British National Curriculum. Students use the GCSE for the first two years of High School. The school has programs for students with special needs as well as those students needing help with English.
Extracurricular Activities
The school offers a variety of extracurricular activities including academics, drama, sports, Chemistry Club, Dance Club, Creative Writing Club, Environmental Club, Photography Club and Philosophy Club. RIS also takes students from Grade 3 and up on residential trips.
Technology
RIS has two computer labs and interactive whiteboards in most classrooms. Additional computers are in the school annex and the library. Students in Grades 10, 12 and 13 use iPads that the school provides. Computer lessons are part of the regular curriculum.
